The Liberty Memorial Museum

  image
This is a photo of one 46" flat panel LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) television mounted in one of the museum walls. This unit shows one of two battlescape maps in the museum. These maps are interactive allowing the user to jump forward or backward to designated subject areas in a timeline found at the bottom of the screen. This flat panel has additional hardware installed that allows it to function as a touchscreen. The user simply presses their finger on one of the designated bullseyes and the corresponding computer in the control room will jump to the selected section. The corresponding audio is broadcast using a speaker which is mounted behind the perforated grill beneath the monitor.
